Building Future Leaders: Business EQ Camp for U24 Youth in Yamanashi

In a transformative initiative, Imajina Inc. is set to host the U24 Yamanashi Governor Ambassador "Business EQ" Camp from July 21 to 24, 2026, in Chuo City, Yamanashi Prefecture, at the renowned "Silk Friendery". This enriching four-day program aims to equip young individuals under the age of 24 with essential emotional intelligence skills, crucial for their personal and professional growth. As society grapples with the challenges of retaining the younger workforce, especially Generation Z, this camp serves as a timely solution to build self-confidence and combat high turnover rates among young employees.

The camp is designed as an adult version of the popular "Yamanashi Junior Ambassador Program" that previously engaged elementary school students. It focuses on addressing the critical gap in the understanding of how their roles contribute to society, primarily caused by a lack of meaningful connections in their work. Leveraging insights from Imajina’s support to over 3,000 companies, the camp introduces participants to the concept of "Business EQ" or emotional intelligence, which encompasses self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, and the ability to uplift others.

Another significant component of the program is the cultivation of a "Public Mindset". Beyond mere skill-building, this module fosters a social intelligence that integrates ethics and responsibility. Participants will enhance their media literacy by learning to navigate the biases presented by social media and prevailing societal trends. Furthermore, they will develop a strong moral compass, which will dramatically enhance their sense of belonging as members of an organization.

The venue itself, "Silk Friendery", is a pristine hot spring facility boasting a high alkaline water pH level of 9.8, set against a picturesque backdrop of the Yatsugatake and Kitadake mountain ranges. Participants will have the chance to savor regional culinary offerings at the restaurant managed by the agricultural organization "Ebesi", and engage in traditional craftsmanship activities to sharpen their creative senses. This serene environment is conducive to deep learning, allowing attendees to disconnect from their daily routines and immerse themselves in a transformative experience.

The final day of the camp will culminate in a prestigious award ceremony where Yamanashi Governor, Kotaro Nagasaki, will present certificates of gratitude to the participants. These certificates will recognize the innovative solutions proposed during the camp for addressing local community challenges. This rewarding experience is envisioned to instill lifelong confidence and pride in participants, ultimately contributing to their growth as valuable assets to their companies and communities. Aligned with Yamanashi Prefecture's push for 'human capital management', the event underscores the importance of viewing young individuals not merely as costs but as capital, embodying a cutting-edge model for local revitalization.
