Willamette Valley Vineyards, a well-respected winery known for its premium Pinot Noir wines, has announced the appointment of John Hazlett as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With a robust background and over 25 years of extensive experience in various financial leadership roles, Hazlett is set to enhance the winery's financial strategies and operational efficiency. Hazlett brings a wealth of knowledge, shaped by significant roles in manufacturing, technology, and growth-oriented sectors. Before joining Willamette Valley, he was the founder and partner at Trailwise Advisory Services, where he assisted organizations in navigating financial transformations, operational scaling, and leadership transitions. His comprehensive career also includes pivotal positions as CFO in RENA Technologies North America, Climax Portable Machine Tools, Eaton, and even Microsoft, showcasing his expertise across diverse financial landscapes.

Holding an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from Bowling Green State University, Hazlett is also a certified public accountant (CPA). His educational background has equipped him with the skills to handle complex financial challenges spanning different industries, making him a formidable asset for the winery as it looks ahead.

In welcoming Hazlett, Jim Bernau, Founder and President of Willamette Valley Vineyards, emphasized the significance of this transition following the remarkable tenure of John Ferry. Bernau expressed confidence that Hazlett's operational efficiency and financial acumen would complement Ferry's legacy, particularly in navigating aspects related to compliance and interactions with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
