Survey Duration
The data collection for this study took place between
February 21 and March 10, 2025, ensuring a wide range of insights from a significant participant pool.
Analytical Framework
The analysis measured the
brand deviation value, calculated through the Brand Image Index (Image DI) derived from the difference between the
positive and
negative brand perceptions, multiplied by the recognition rate. Respondents were asked to evaluate various municipalities from a selection, based on their experiences, along six choices:
1. Lived there
2. Visited but never lived there
3. Positive image
4. Negative image
5. Aware but no strong image
6. Unfamiliarity with the name
In this context, the total percentage of those who have either lived in or visited a place was reported as 'visited'.
Significance of this Ranking
This ranking not only illustrates the popular perception of various municipalities within Kansai but also contributes significantly to the field of urban studies and community development. By understanding how residents perceive their locales, municipalities can focus on areas in need of improvement, fostering an environment that enhances the overall living experience for inhabitants.
Call to Action
This comprehensive report represents a crucial element for various stakeholders, including city planners, local government, and real estate developers. For those interested in further data or academic purposes, Daiko Kentaku is open to inquiries regarding the specific data of this survey.
