International Pressed Flower Art Exhibition Set to Bloom in Tokyo 2025

Celebrate Nature at the Art Craft Exhibition in Tokyo 2025



From September 26 to 28, Tokyo will host an extraordinary showcase of international pressed flower artworks at the "Art Craft Exhibition Enjoying Flowers and Greenery in Tokyo 2025". This exhibition, organized by the Japan-based Pressed Flower Art Association, promises to be a vibrant celebration of creativity and nature, with entries from ten countries around the globe.

Exhibition Highlights


The exhibition will take place at the National Showa Memorial Park Flower and Green Cultural Center in Tachikawa, Tokyo. It will feature award-winning pieces from prestigious competitions, including the "Pressed Flower Painting Creation Exhibition," renowned for being a pinnacle in pressed flower art. A total of 271 submissions were judged, leading to 98 award-winning artworks that showcase unique styles and techniques from countries such as Japan, China, South Korea, Taiwan, and Ukraine.

Featured Competitions


  • - 21st Pressed Flower Painting Creation Exhibition: This global competition has seen participation from around 33 countries, with over 27,000 entries over the years. This year, visitors can marvel at artwork that exemplifies the beauty and intricacies of pressed flower techniques.
  • - 17th Le Kan Flower Contest: Meaning "Flower Jewel Box," this contest features dry flower works created without synthetic dyes, focusing on natural colors across various categories, including frames and accessories. With 180 entries this year, 98 winners will be on display.
  • - 1st Pressed Flower Print Contest: Newly established this year, this contest invites participants to print pressed flowers onto fabric items and accessories, showcasing innovative designs and creative expressions.

Special Displays and Workshops


One of the main attractions will be the special showcase of approximately 40 artworks by Noriaki Sugino, a master pressed flower artist and President of the Pressed Flower Art Association. Attendees will get to see his latest creations that beautifully incorporate vegetables and fruits into pressed flower art, further enriching the experience of nature’s beauty.

Additionally, the exhibition will host experiential workshops led by certified instructors from Halmek Flower Art. These workshops are designed for beginners, providing a hands-on opportunity to create flower art while taking home a personal masterpiece. Participation is fully encouraged, especially for families and first-time visitors.

The Craft Market will also be an exciting component of the event, featuring a variety of flower-themed handiworks from creators across Japan. Unique accessories, interior decorations, and charming small items will be available for attendees to purchase and enjoy.
