This partnership aims to expedite the development and production of the Phoenix P-1000, a state-of-the-art unmanned logistics aircraft designed to operate in contested environments where traditional air mobility faces challenges. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) signed between the two Massachusetts-based companies will facilitate the engineering and manufacturing of the Phoenix aircraft at an unprecedented scale.

Enigma Aerospace has emerged from a stealth phase, announcing its capabilities in creating next-generation cargo aircraft alongside robust logistics command-and-control software tailored for high-stakes environments. The Phoenix P-1000 is engineered to deliver payloads over long distances—up to 2,100 nautical miles—while maintaining a payload capacity of up to 1,000 pounds. Its design allows for high-precision aerial deliveries, making it ideal for operations where runway access is limited or compromised.

The collaboration highlights the application of ReBuild’s Lean manufacturing techniques in the development of the Phoenix, ensuring that production methodologies are tightly integrated with aircraft design from the outset. Production is slated to begin within twelve months from the project's initiation, with plans to escalate from initial production to full-scale output capable of producing thousands of aircraft annually. ReBuild Manufacturing, founded by former Amazon executive Jeff Wilke, boasts significant resources with approximately one million square feet of manufacturing space and over 1,200 employees, including more than 400 engineers.
