Enhancing Childcare Quality: Kizuna Association and Ayumi Nursery's Training Program

In a commendable effort to elevate the standards of childcare, the Kizuna Association hosted a significant training session at the National Ayumi Nursery on January 29, 2026. This training focused on preventing inappropriate childcare practices and promoting mental health awareness among the staff and local childcare professionals, attracting around 30 participants.

Objectives of the Training

The training sought to shift the perspective on inappropriate childcare from being viewed as a personal issue to a collective responsibility. It emphasized the importance of fostering an environment where staff members could reflect on their daily caregiving practices, share insights with their colleagues, and support each other as a cohesive team. Furthermore, the program aimed to address the physical and mental burdens childcare workers often face, encouraging them to recognize and manage their own stress levels effectively.

Participants engaged not only in lectures but also in vibrant discussions and group dialogues, allowing them to contextualize the content within their everyday work environments. This interactive format provided an invaluable opportunity for attendees to reassess their own approaches to childcare and work-life balance.

As the session progressed, a noticeable shift occurred among the participants—their expressions softened, laughter filled the room, and constructive feedback flowed freely, reflecting a supportive and positive atmosphere throughout the training.

Such initiatives are crucial, not only for enhancing the quality of childcare but also for creating workplaces where staff feel secure and valued. This approach fosters better employee well-being and contributes to a healthier educational environment for children.
