Thought Technology Ltd. Showcases Biofeedback Innovations at AAPB Conference

Montreal-based Thought Technology Ltd., a leader in the field of biofeedback instrumentation, is set to exhibit its latest innovations at the upcoming Association for Applied Psychophysiology and Biofeedback (AAPB) Annual Conference. Scheduled from May 14-17, 2025, in San Diego, this event will highlight how the company continues to support the progress of psychophysiology.

As a consistent supporter of the AAPB, Thought Technology aims to empower both practitioners and clients through its state-of-the-art tools. At this year’s conference, the company will emphasize the applications of its products in group therapy settings including family counseling and team-building exercises. This approach is designed to enhance collaborative environments by leveraging individual physiological responses.

One of the most exciting features of the conference will be a Texas Hold'em themed exhibitor demonstration taking place on Saturday, May 17th. This creative demo aims to illustrate how physiological responses can provide insights into thoughts and emotions, especially in competitive contexts. Seasoned poker players often rely on their ability to maintain a calm exterior while bluffs and tells can reveal their emotional states. Utilizing the eVu-TPS sensor and the BioGraph Infiniti Synergy Suite, the demo will explore how heart rate, skin conductance, and other physiological markers can indicate stress or excitement, regardless of a player’s outward appearance. This challenge aims to see if players can control their autonomic responses as adeptly as they manage their facial expressions.

Furthermore, on May 14th, Thought Technology's Technical Support Director, Frank DeGregorio, will lead an informative pre-conference workshop titled “Patient Intervention through the Use of Biofeedback Trainings with Various Physiological Peripherals.” This hands-on session will provide attendees—ranging from beginners to experts—with the practical skills necessary to incorporate biofeedback solutions into their own practices. Participants can expect live demonstrations and expert insights to deepen their understanding of the technology’s clinical applications.

At booth #8, attendees will be invited to explore an array of live demonstrations, allowing them to test the equipment firsthand and gather insights on how to best utilize these tools to enhance wellness and performance. Thought Technology’s Sales and Marketing Director, Helen Mavros, shared her enthusiasm about participating in the AAPB Conference: “This annual event represents a fantastic opportunity for collaboration, learning, and innovation. We’re proud to contribute through our robust line of biofeedback solutions, which support practitioners and their clients in harnessing physiological awareness.”
