IKEA to Open Two New Pickup Centers in Saitama for Large Deliveries

Exciting News from IKEA

IKEA, the Swedish home furnishing giant known for its commitment to enhancing everyday living, is expanding its footprint in Japan. On October 16, 2025, IKEA Japan Corporation will open two new product pickup centers in Saitama Prefecture, specifically in the cities of Toda and Kasukabe. This initiative aligns with their vision of making comfortable, sustainable living accessible to more people.

In addition to these two centers for large item deliveries, IKEA is also set to expand its center pickup service for smaller deliveries across 67 locations in Tokyo, Kanagawa, and Yamanashi prefectures starting October 23, 2025. This service is designed to offer a practical and cost-effective solution for customers wishing to receive their IKEA products without incurring hefty delivery charges.

IKEA’s commitment to sustainability is reflected in its unique center pickup service, a joint effort with business partners across the nation. The service enables IKEA to deliver goods to nearby pickup centers or Sagawa Express offices, allowing customers to transport the items to their homes themselves. This approach not only saves on delivery costs but also alleviates the burden of last-mile delivery, contributing positively to the environment.

With the launch of the new centers, IKEA will boast a total of 596 product pickup points throughout Japan, including 59 locations dedicated to large item pickups and 537 locations for smaller items via Sagawa Express. This expansive network ensures that customers can access IKEA products conveniently and efficiently.
