Introducing Tornado2026: The Ultimate Student Hackathon

The exciting Tornado2026 Hackathon is set to kick off in four major cities across Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, and Fukuoka, from August 17 to September 5, 2026. Organized by the Dream Future Digital Entrepreneurship Support Lab, this hybrid event aims to harness the power of collaboration and innovation in an era dominated by AI.

The motto of Tornado2026, "Think together and implement in teams during the AI age," reflects a commitment to nurturing critical teamwork skills essential for today’s digital landscape. Participants from various fields, such as engineering, design, project management, and more, are encouraged to come together to create impactful products.

Participant Information

We are currently seeking participants for Tornado2026! This is a unique opportunity for students across all levels, whether experienced or beginners, to engage in a competitive yet supportive environment. The event allows for a maximum of 120 participants, with 30 slots available at each location.

• - Target Audience: Graduate students, undergraduates, vocational students, and high school students.

Prizes and Travel Support

Thanks to the support of various partner companies, we are thrilled to announce that the prize for the top nationwide team has increased from 600,000 yen to an impressive 1,000,000 yen! To make this event accessible to students nationwide, we will also offer travel assistance for the first time, providing support of up to 50,000 yen for participants traveling from afar. The criteria for travel assistance will be detailed on the official LP as we approach the event date.

NFT Badge Implementation

In collaboration with our official partner, Datachain, Tornado2026 will feature NFT badges for participants to commemorate their achievements.
