BODYBAR Pilates Set to Launch Its First Studio in Oregon This June

In an exciting development for fitness enthusiasts, BODYBAR Pilates is opening its first studio in Oregon's Tanasbourne area this coming June. Known for its dynamic and engaging reformer-based Pilates classes, BODYBAR is committed to fostering a vibrant community centered around health and wellness. The Tanasbourne location at 9261 Northeast Windsor Street will mark a significant expansion for BODYBAR, which continues to grow across the United States.

As part of the pre-opening festivities, BODYBAR Tanasbourne is offering a limited number of founding memberships, providing members with up to 20% off their membership for life. This opportunity also includes benefits like priority booking, complimentary guest passes, and a free class prior to the official opening date. To give locals a taste of what to expect, BODYBAR has planned a series of community events.

Upcoming Community Events

  • - Stretch & Sip Event: Scheduled for February 14 at 11 AM, this event will take place at Wildwood Taphouse in Tanasbourne. Participants can join a 50-minute mat Pilates class followed by socializing and refreshments. Registration is required and participants must bring their mats.

  • - Pilates, Ponies & Prosecco: On February 28 at 10:30 AM, this unique Pilates experience will be held at Borealis Equestrian in Forest Park, blending Pilates with equestrian elements. Designed specifically for riders, it aims to enhance strength, balance, and mobility vital for equestrian athletes. Registration is also necessary for this limited-space event.

These events not only introduce the BODYBAR ethos to the community but also allow potential members to connect with each other and the studio’s team in a relaxed setting.

Meet the Owner

Lucinda Stevenson, the franchise owner of BODYBAR Pilates Tanasbourne, brings a wealth of experience to the role. With a background in law and a successful career as a software CEO, Lucinda transitioned to fitness, motivated by her personal journey with Pilates after recovering from an injury. Her vision for the studio is to create a welcoming space where community members can strengthen their bodies and develop a consistent fitness routine.

"I'm incredibly excited to introduce BODYBAR Pilates to Oregon and the Hillsboro community this spring," Lucinda said. "Pilates has had a meaningful impact on my life, and I want to foster a space where people can grow in strength and confidence."

Lucinda is also planning to launch various health and wellness workshops catering to different demographics, including athletes, mothers, and those recovering from injuries. She aims to ensure inclusivity and meet the diverse needs of the community.

Fast-Growing Fitness Trend

BODYBAR Pilates seeks to redefine the fitness experience. The Tanasbourne studio will occupy over 2,500 square feet, featuring 14 Reformers and offering a variety of Pilates classes aimed at enhancing strength, balance, and overall wellness tailored for all fitness levels. This commitment to a well-rounded fitness approach has been a key part of BODYBAR's rapidly growing brand.

Kamille McCollum, the chief brand officer and co-founder of BODYBAR, expressed enthusiasm for the Oregon venture. "We see tremendous potential in the greater Portland area and recognize Tanasbourne as a desired location for our brand. At BODYBAR, we're not just providing workouts—we're focusing on building sustainable and balanced habits for our members."

Looking forward, Lucinda hopes to establish three more BODYBAR studios in the Portland metro area within the next few years. With over 18,000 members and 74 studios nationwide, the demand for BODYBAR's unique fitness model is clear.
