Exploring Real Challenges in Building Management: A Report from the 2025 Building Construction and Management Expo

An Insight into Building Management Challenges at the 2025 Building Construction and Management Expo

From June 4th to 6th, 2025, the Tokyo Big Sight hosted the Building Construction and Management Expo, where FLINTZ proudly exhibited its innovative cloud-based building management system named "Bilkan." This specialized exhibition brought together professionals from the building and apartment management sectors, highlighting the industry's growing interest and engagement.

Welcoming Visitors to the Bilkan Booth

The Expo saw a remarkable turnout, with 15,922 attendees across three days, creating a vibrant atmosphere full of connections and discussions. The FLINTZ booth attracted many industry professionals, including building maintenance companies, asset managers, property managers, and real estate owners, all eager to learn about the benefits of
Bilkan.

At the booth, we provided live demonstrations and informative videos showcasing Bilkan's features to ensure visitors experienced the service's capabilities firsthand. To sweeten the experience, we offered attendees branded pens and the iconic "Shiroi Koibito," a popular chocolate treat from Hokkaido, which delighted many and sparked lively conversations between our team and visitors.

Common Challenges and Insights from Visitors

Through numerous discussions, we gathered valuable insights into the pressing challenges faced by industry professionals. Feedback from 44 individual interviews revealed a commonality in needs and difficulties across various sectors. Some notable points shared include:
  • - A increasing awareness of digital transformation (DX) within organizations, with many searching for effective digital tools.
  • - The complications arising from multiple systems being used, leading to disorganized information management.
  • - The challenges of managing inspection and repair history on paper, which obscures past records.
  • - Concerns regarding existing systems being difficult for on-site staff to navigate effectively.

These challenges underscore the necessity for a unified management approach and user-friendly tools in the realm of building management.

How Bilkan Addresses Building Management Issues

Bilkan is designed to centralize all essential building management information on the cloud, enabling intuitive operation without burdening the onsite staff. Its patented feature allows users to oversee repair histories and equipment information directly on building blueprints. This streamlining of complex management tasks helps improve operational efficiency and reduces the over-reliance on individuals for knowledge retention.

Moving forward, FLINTZ is committed to enhancing Bilkan's functionality and user experience, reflecting the feedback we received during the Expo.

Explore Bilkan and the Partnership Opportunities

FLINTZ is currently seeking partners interested in distributing Bilkan as we work to expand our cloud-based building management system. We aim to assist building management firms facing challenges in digitizing their facilities and operations.
