registration is open for the World's Fun Run Florida Edition, which will occur shortly after the championship races. Participants can choose between a
2km or 4km distance, and everyone will receive a commemorative medal. In a spirit of competition, the run will feature Florida-inspired obstacles, reminiscent of the challenges faced by the world’s competitors. Registration for the fun run is priced at
$25 per person, with a portion of proceeds going to support
Leon County Schools' Track and Cross-Country programs. Notably, all Leon County students aged 12 and under can participate in the
Kids Athletics 2km race for free.
The Venue
Apalachee Regional Park, having hosted over 75 championships over the last 13 years, is well-prepared to welcome this international sporting event. Known among runners for its rolling hills, beautiful forests, and distinctive features including sand, water challenges, and wildlife-influenced obstacles, it offers a truly unique racing experience. over 30 years that the World Athletics Cross Country Championships will take place in the United States since
