Midea and NARAP Collaboration to Advance HVAC Skills in Nigeria

In a significant move aimed at enhancing technical skills in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) sector, Midea Residential Air Conditioner (RAC) has partnered with the Nigerian Association of Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Practitioners (NARAP). This partnership was showcased during the NARAP Day 2026 event, held in Abia State on July 23 and 24, marking a pivotal step in Midea RAC's commitment to excellence in the Nigerian HVAC industry.

The event was a continuation of Midea's national technical training program, which launched in May 2026, focusing on providing training on the latest HVAC technologies, standardized installation practices, and customer service strategies. The collaboration with NARAP allows Midea to reach a broader audience through NARAP's extensive network of regional chapters, enhancing the dissemination of knowledge and skills across more areas in Nigeria.

During the NARAP Day, industry professionals gathered to participate in technical discussions and capacity-building activities. NARAP, as a leading professional association in Nigeria, is dedicated to promoting professional standards, technical training, and best practices across the HVAC sector.

The joint efforts between Midea RAC and NARAP are geared towards broadening access to advanced knowledge in HVAC, thus supporting sustainable growth in the industry. Emeka Paschal Okpe, Distribution Channel Manager at Midea RAC, highlighted the company’s commitment to ongoing technical training while addressing attendees at the event. Aside from in-person training sessions, Midea RAC is investing in the long-term professional development of technicians through the 'Midea Club,' an exclusive empowerment program for HVAC installers. This platform provides installers with tools to manage their installation processes, access technical support, and avail themselves of rewards for eligible Midea air conditioner installations. By enhancing the transparency and traceability of installation procedures, Midea Club fosters a more structured and accountable installation management system, which helps ensure consistent service quality and adherence to installation standards.
