Emily Culp Takes the Helm as CEO of Dropps

In a significant development for the home care industry, Emily Culp has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of Dropps, effective immediately. Dropps is known for its pioneering approach to home care, featuring high-performance yet clean ingredients. Culp steps into this leadership role with over three decades of experience in scaling global brands at the intersection of health, wellness, and personal care.

Culp previously served as the Chief Brand Strategy Officer at BodyHealth, a supplement company she helped transform from a nascent business to a thriving entity generating nine-figure revenues. Her background also includes leading Cover FX Skincare Inc., where she played a crucial role in its evolution into a vegan and cruelty-free beauty expert. Additionally, her impressive career features senior roles at well-known brands such as Keds, Rebecca Minkoff, Estee Lauder, and Unilever, along with board memberships at entities like Stio, Cordial, and GoPro.

Founded in 2008 by Jonathan Propper, Dropps was the pioneer behind the first liquid laundry detergent pod, emphasizing concentrated and eco-friendly formulas. The company has long been dedicated to sustainability, demonstrating excellence in performance without compromising the health of consumers or the environment. Under Culp's leadership, Dropps is poised to build on its legacy of innovation and expand its outreach to health-conscious and environmentally aware consumers.

"Health and wellness have always been at the core of my personal and professional life, so becoming part of the Dropps team feels like a natural continuation of my journey," Culp expressed. She understands the growing consumer demand for transparency regarding product ingredients and safety for families, a need Dropps has been addressing for years. Culp is excited to work with an extraordinary team to elevate the brand’s presence in more households.

Elio Leoni Sceti, Chairman of the Dropps Board of Directors, emphasized the pivotal moment for the home care category, noting that Culp's deep understanding of consumers, the brand, and shared values instills confidence in Dropps' future direction.

Jonathan Propper, the founder, remarked on Dropps' straightforward approach: "With Dropps, there’s no unnecessary fuss—no measuring, no mess, and no plastic in our packaging, just effective cleaning solutions at your fingertips." He believes that Emily's passion and extensive experience will help propel the brand to new heights and reach a broader audience.

Dropps is committed to simplifying everyday cleaning tasks while ensuring safety and effectiveness. Its biobased laundry and dish pods are dermatologist-tested and free from harmful chemicals like dyes, artificial fragrances, and phthalates. The brand’s dedication to sustainability is underlined by its status as a certified B Corporation, opting for compact, low-waste cardboard packaging over traditional plastic, drastically reducing its carbon footprint and environmental impact.

As Emily Culp takes the reins, the future looks promising for Dropps, with a vision to continue leading the way in sustainable home care while expanding its innovative products for a cleaner, healthier home environment. This appointment marks a pivotal chapter for Dropps, setting the stage for dynamic growth in response to emerging consumer needs and expectations in the rapidly evolving home care sector.
