Weather Wines Welcomes Spring with New Releases and Community Engagement Initiatives
Weather Wines, celebrated for its premium Burgundian-varietal wines, is thrilled to kick off the spring season with a series of exciting updates. Located in the idyllic Sonoma region, Weather Wines has announced their participation as the Presenting Sponsor for the 2026 V Foundation's Sonoma Epicurean event. This marks their fifth consecutive year supporting this remarkable cause aimed at funding cancer research.
The renowned Sonoma Epicurean is set to take place from March 26 to 29, 2026. In its history, the event has garnered over $13 million towards cancer research, and 100% of all proceeds directly contribute to groundbreaking initiatives led by the V Foundation. Weather Wines' founder, John Truchard, expressed his pride in continuing to support this noble cause, highlighting that their wines have gained critical acclaim and developed a loyal following.
Exclusive Auction Lot
As part of the ongoing support for the V Foundation, Weather Wines will be offering a unique auction item that pairs an exhilarating Formula 1 experience with a private estate tasting of their distinguished wines. Winners will have the choice to attend either the Miami or Las Vegas Grand Prix, and the tasting features the exclusive 2022 Weather Leras Vineyard Pinot Noir, sourced from a vineyard established by third-generation winegrowers in 1978.
In anticipation of the event, Weather Wines is also running a special promotion: by using the code
EPIC on their online store, 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the V Foundation until the end of March, with free ground shipping included on orders of 12 or more bottles.
New Wine Releases
To celebrate the season, Weather Wines is excited to debut its latest releases, the Carneros Gap Single Vineyard wines. The
2024 Weather Carneros Gap Chardonnay reflects the winery's commitment to showcasing the unique terroir of their estate in Carneros. This Burgundian-style Chardonnay encapsulates the area’s cool, coastal influence, offering a symphony of flavors including white peach, lemon curd, and flinty minerality. Its balanced richness and refreshing acidity culminate in a long, satisfying finish.
Additionally, later this spring, Weather Wines will release the
2023 Weather Carneros Gap Pinot Noir, strengthening their repertoire of single vineyard offerings. These wines are crafted with a dedication to achieving the fullest expression of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
Community Engagement
In alignment with their commitment to the Sonoma community, Weather Wines is participating in
Pour & Explore, a tasting series organized in collaboration with the esteemed Sommelier Christopher Sawyer. Upcoming events include a focused tasting on Pinot Noir on April 23 and another featuring Chardonnay on June 18. Tickets and more details can be found on the Sonoma Wine website.
