First Mining Gold Corp. Reports Expansion Potential at Springpole Project

First Mining Gold Corp., based in Vancouver, has announced exciting developments regarding its Springpole Gold Project located in northwestern Ontario. Recent drilling results from the 2024 East Extension Phase 1 diamond drilling program reveal that the company has identified opportunities for expanding mineralization within the existing pit design. The exploration effort consisted of a five-hole, 2,293 meter drilling campaign aimed at investigating resource growth opportunities towards the east of the main mineral resource.

The highlights from this drilling campaign are significantly promising, as key drill holes such as SP24-011 and SP24-009 demonstrated encouraging grades of gold and silver that align with the established resource profile. Particularly, SP24-011 showed two broad intervals of mineralization, revealing 0.75 g/t Au and 3.30 g/t Ag over 134.2 meters, as well as 0.67 g/t Au and 12.79 g/t Ag over 105.4 meters. These findings indicate a substantial opportunity for the direct expansion of mineralization, adding greater continuity to the open-pit design.

The East Extension Phase 1 drilling program has notably returned significant widths of continuous mineralization in previously unexplored areas of the Springpole Project. This underexplored section lies within the current Pre-Feasibility Study open-pit development footprint, indicating an exciting potential for enhancing the resource base. The promising results lead to unique opportunities for reclassifying material deemed as
