Westwell Unveils Smart and Eco-Friendly Freight Ecosystem in Paris

Westwell, an innovative logistics firm leveraging artificial intelligence, made a significant impression on the logistics scene by presenting a comprehensive suite of intelligent and sustainable logistics solutions on July 7th at Logicor's Garonor Park in Paris. This special innovation showcase highlighted the company’s advancements in new energy utility vehicles, battery exchange infrastructure, and autonomous logistics solutions, drawing the participation of partners and clients from both Westwell and Logicor.

Logicor provided a state-of-the-art facility covering 1200 square meters within its Paris logistics park for this showcase, which serves various clients focusing on distribution and supply chain management in proximity to the city center. During the event, Westwell introduced a range of smart logistics technologies including new energy-powered autonomous utility vehicles, eco-friendly battery swap stations, and sophisticated software systems.

The flagship product on display was Westwell's fully autonomous electric vehicle known as the Q-Truck. This unique vehicle is specifically designed for closed scenarios, incorporating AI-driven cameras, LiDAR, and advanced sensors for precise perception, positioning, decision-making, and navigation. Offering a maximum range of 150 kilometers and a towing capacity of 75 tons, the Q-Truck supports efficient transport operations 24/7 while significantly reducing carbon emissions by up to 50 tons annually through its eco-friendly energy sources. This revolutionary vehicle is currently in use across numerous countries and regions, including the UK, UAE, Thailand, Malaysia, Egypt, Mexico, and more.

In addition, aimed at providing customizable solutions to clients at different stages of logistics transformation, Westwell unveiled the E-Truck—an upgradable smart heavy-duty truck that operates on new energy. This innovative vehicle allows flexible switching between autonomous and manual driving modes, offering customers a cost-effective and efficient path toward adopting autonomy at their own pace.

To further enhance factory and warehouse logistics scenarios, Westwell introduced the Wellbot, a smart logistics robot tailored for precise sorting, cargo handling, and intelligent warehouse management. Utilizing multi-sensor technology alongside advanced AI models, the Wellbot can accurately identify cargo, navigate autonomously, and seamlessly coordinate with the Q-Truck, thereby streamlining the entire transport workflow from 'truck to loading dock to warehouse' and significantly improving operational efficiency on-site.

With extensive operational experiences across various scenarios, Westwell harnesses supply chain data to generate greater business value. Their advanced intelligent and connected logistics platform, Loopo, is specifically designed to revolutionize multimodal transport operations within warehouses and logistics parks. Built on cutting-edge autonomous driving technology, Loopo offers comprehensive solutions by integrating intelligent docking systems, automated storage systems, traffic management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), predictive transport management systems (PTMS), and advanced transport control systems seamlessly.

This demonstration at Logicor's Garonor Park is not just a technological showcase but a signal of a promising global collaboration with significant market expansion potential. The project is a testing concept aimed at innovative displays and will enable further technical verifications in the future. Together with Logicor, Westwell intends to exert efforts towards enhancing market outreach for tailored, effective, and eco-friendly intelligent logistics services for European customers.

Kay Yang, CEO of Westwell Holdings (Hong Kong) Limited, remarked, "This collaboration with Logicor marks a significant milestone on Westwell's journey towards global commercialization. By leveraging this new global innovation platform, we aim to accelerate the commercialization of our solutions in world markets and enhance our global service support capabilities."

Laurent Dubos, head of Logicor for France, stated, "We are delighted to support Westwell by providing the venue for testing and showcasing innovative programs that will benefit our customers and their environmental focus."

To date, Westwell serves over 200 clients in 28 countries and regions worldwide, covering maritime ports, air cargo terminals, industrial hubs, rail logistics, cross-border transportation, and more. The company remains committed to developing intelligent eco-friendly technologies that bring more innovations and value to its clientele in smart large-scale logistics globally. Logicor is a leading owner, manager, and developer of logistics real estate in Europe. As of December 2024, its real estate portfolio spans over 19 million square meters of warehouse space in key transport nodes near major population centers, enabling it to support over 2000 customers. The cooperation between Westwell and Logicor signifies a notable step towards sustainable transformation in global logistics. Both parties aim to propel the logistics sector into a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable future through innovations in intelligent and green technologies.
