Doral Renewables Secures a Power Purchase Agreement in Texas

Doral Renewables LLC, a prominent independent power producer specializing in utility-scale solar and battery storage solutions, has reached a significant milestone by signing a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for its Cold Creek Solar Project, which boasts an impressive capacity of 430 MWac. Situated across Schleicher and Tom Green Counties in Texas, this PPA will secure 75% of the project's energy output, along with 100% of the Renewable Energy Credits generated.

This contract marks a notable expansion for Doral, allowing the company to increase its total contracted energy generation beyond 1.6 GW. The Cold Creek Solar Project is anticipated to deliver more than 1 million megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean energy on an annual basis. Moreover, the project is designed to create a positive impact within the local community by supporting essential infrastructure initiatives, including road enhancements and emergency response services.
