Amrop Announces New Chair and Board Members to Drive Leadership Forward
Amrop's Governance Evolution
In a strategic move today, the Amrop Partnership, a global leader in executive search and leadership consulting, has announced notable changes to its Global Board. Effective from May 29, 2026, Fredy Hausammann has been appointed as the new Chair. He brings with him extensive experience and familiarity with the organization since joining as a partner in Switzerland in 1998.
Fredy Hausammann Takes the Helm
Hausammann isn't new to leadership roles within Amrop; he previously served as Chair of the Nomination and Governance Committee and also as the Global Practice Leader for financial services. His wealth of expertise in executive recruitment across various sectors makes him an ideal fit for the position. As he steps into this role, Hausammann is committed to maintaining the inherent values, culture, and partnership spirit within Amrop that have driven the company's success over the years.
In his first statement as Chair, Hausammann remarked, "I am honored to take on this role in a company whose strength lies in its personnel, values, and partnership culture. My commitment is to stay true to this DNA while helping Amrop move forward with confidence, relevance, and ambition."
New Faces in the Global Board
In addition to Hausammann, the board welcomes two new members: Mansour Abdulghaffar, Director Partner at Amrop Saudi Arabia, and Elin Wrammerfors, Partner at Amrop Sweden. Their diverse backgrounds and regional insights will enrich the leadership team, positioning Amrop to address global challenges effectively.
Furthermore, the election process has also seen Bo Ekelund from Sweden appointed to the Membership Committee. Earlier this January, Kelly Freeman from Canada officially took her seat on the Nomination and Governance Committee, following elections that signify a continuous effort to enhance governance structure.
This reshuffling is not just administrative; it signifies Amrop's commitment to strong governance models that have been built over decades. By drawing from their own extensive experience, Amrop ensures that their governance standards align with the advisory services they provide to clients around the world.
A Grateful Farewell
As this new chapter unfolds, Amrop extends its deepest gratitude to Annika Farin, the outgoing Chair, who has served diligently for two terms. The contribution of outgoing board members, Oana Ciornei from Romania and Mikael Norr from Sweden, as well as Maria da Gloria Ribeiro from Portugal, is equally acknowledged. Their insights and leadership have left an indelible mark on the company’s journey.
Founded in 1977, Amrop continues to thrive on a global scale, with offices across 72 locations in 59 countries. The firm is dedicated to guiding dynamic organizations in identifying and onboarding leaders who possess the capacity to transcend geographies and navigate fluid market landscapes.
The Path Ahead
With new leadership at the helm, Amrop is poised to advance its mission of shaping future leaders in a world that demands agility and insight. Their commitment to developing executive talent is not just a service; it's a dedication to influencing the courses of industries and societies.
As the organization looks ahead, it reaffirms its stand to support effective governance and ethical leadership in every endeavor. This transition marks a pivotal moment for Amrop, as they continue to embrace the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead in the realm of leadership consulting.
