MSA Safety Unveils Next-Gen Firefighter Technologies at Interschutz 2026

MSA Safety Unveils Innovative Firefighter Technology at Interschutz 2026

At the Interschutz 2026 in Hannover, MSA Safety, Inc. presented groundbreaking firefighting technologies aimed at improving safety and performance for firefighters facing increasingly complex operational environments. Due to their challenging work conditions, the reliability and effectiveness of firefighting equipment have never been more critical.

Enhanced Personal Protective Equipments

MSA Safety's showcase includes three pioneering products:
1. Enhanced M1™ SCBA Telemetry System
2. New GALLET® Fire Helmet
3. Bristol™ Fire Protective Clothing

Revolutionary Telemetry System

The M1 SCBA Telemetry System has been introduced for both Germany and Europe. This system enhances situational awareness for command staff and maintains accountability for firefighters by transmitting SCBA data in real-time to incident management. Controlled by the M1 Control Module, it allows incident commanders to monitor the status of firefighters and teams, trigger evacuation alarms, and confirm feedback. Key features of this system include:
  • - M1 Control Module: A fully integrated replacement for traditional measuring devices and PASS units, it provides electronic pressure readings, motionless and manual emergency alarms, wide-range radio communications, bright buddy lights, and a free fall detection feature.
  • - MSA HUB™: Aggregates real-time data from multiple firefighters, establishes a localized wireless network on-site, and can transmit information to cloud-based systems when internet connectivity allows for remote monitoring and post-incident analysis.
  • - MSA Repeater: Extends radio connectivity in challenging environments like high-rises, basements, tunnels, and underground facilities, ensuring communication between on-site responders and command staff.

Collectively, these functionalities enhance situational awareness by delivering timely safety information in clear and actionable formats to the appropriate personnel.

The Iconic GALLET F1® Fire Helmet

Building on over 40 years of tradition in helmet manufacturing, the new GALLET F1 Fire Helmet offers exceptional protection against heat, impact, and flying debris while aligning with firefighters' demands for comfort, fit, and modularity. The helmet comes in an array of sizes to accommodate various head shapes, sizes, and hairstyles, and allows modular configuration for accessories tailored to team needs. Key features include:
  • - L360™ Lighting Module: Specifically developed for the helmet to provide balanced illumination during operations.
  • - A newly designed visor for comprehensive protection against constant hazards.
  • - Enhanced ease of cleaning, inspection, and maintenance.

The GALLET F1 Fire Helmet is set to be available later this year.

Bristol X1™ Fire Protective Suit

The Bristol X1 Fire Suit sets a new benchmark for customization and adaptability in firefighting protective clothing. The jacket and pants were designed for a personalized fit, blending lightweight materials with heat protection and occupational hazards. With over 1,000 fit configurations, this suit caters to diverse body shapes, genders, roles, and climatic conditions. Notable features include:
  • - A uniquely designed V-neck jacket for enhanced mobility and comfort.
  • - Adjustable suspenders with three attachment points for versatility.
  • - Reinforced shoulders, elbows, and knees for added durability.
  • - A lightweight outer shell designed for comfort, chemical resistance, and protection.
