Aidoc's 'bookend' App Empowers Multilingual Driving Education
In an impressive move towards enhancing educational resources,
Aidoc Co., Ltd., based in
Chiyoda, Tokyo, has partnered with
Koyama Traffic Education Service, located in
Shibuya, Tokyo. This collaboration marks the launch of a revolutionary platform—
'bookend'—designed to deliver foreign language driving educational materials effectively.
The custom application, titled
'License Supplement!', is based on Aidoc's standard app and is tailored specifically for the educational materials published by Koyama Traffic Education Service. Users can manage their IDs and passwords through a centralized management system in the bookend application, ensuring a streamlined user experience.
Once users purchase the electronic versions of the foreign language driving materials, they can install
'License Supplement!' on their smartphones or tablets. By logging in with the provided ID and password, users can easily download their purchased content directly to their personal digital library. This convenience allows for viewing materials in the app’s built-in viewer, even in offline settings.
Moreover, the app is equipped with several advanced features aimed at preventing unauthorized copying and duplication. These functions include limitations on the number of devices a single user can access and restrictions on screen capture capabilities. With these mechanisms in place, Aidoc ensures that users benefit from the convenience of digital learning while also upholding copyright protections.
Features of the 'bookend' Service
- - Viewing Method: Encrypted PDFs are delivered to the 'License Supplement!' app's web library, where they can be downloaded and viewed.
- - Content Format: PDF
- - Supported Platforms: iOS and Android
- - DRM Features: These include user access restrictions, data duplication prevention, print control, management of devices allowed for downloads, and the ability to stop distribution after viewing.
Comments from Koyama Traffic Education Service’s President
Yoshikazu Koyama, President of Koyama Traffic Education Service, remarked, “When it came to selling foreign language driving textbooks as e-books, ensuring the protection against unauthorized use, such as copying and duplication, was a crucial requirement. At the same time, we sought to deliver these materials without compromising user convenience. The bookend app's robust DRM features, including options like screen capture prevention and management of the number of devices allowed for access, perfectly align with our needs, leading to our decision to adopt it.”
The digitization process will initially commence with the Vietnamese version, with plans underway to expand support for additional languages to follow.
The collaboration between Aidoc and Koyama Traffic Education Service symbolizes a significant evolution in driving education, making high-quality resources accessible and secure for learners across multiple languages. The
'bookend' app stands out as not just a tool but a comprehensive learning solution that empowers users while protecting intellectual property.
