XCMG Unveils Cutting-Edge Zero-Carbon Mining Solutions at AMM-2026 in Kazakhstan
XCMG Showcases Innovative Zero-Carbon Mining Solutions at AMM-2026
XCMG, a leading enterprise in the engineering machinery sector, recently made headlines at the 16th Astana Mining and Metallurgy Congress (AMM-2026) held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The company unveiled its impressive range of zero-carbon smart mining solutions, underscoring its commitment to supporting the ecological transformation of the mining industry in Central Asia.
The AMM-2026 congress, which took place from June 11 to 12, attracted over 1,500 delegates from 16 different countries, establishing itself as a significant platform for industry professionals in the mining and metallurgy sectors. Yang Dongsheng, Chairman of XCMG Group, was invited to participate in a plenary session by the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the congress, XCMG delivered a programme briefing and showcased its innovative approach to zero-carbon mining, demonstrating a comprehensive suite of clean electrified equipment and intelligence technologies tailored for the mining sector.
In addition to the keynote presentation, XCMG organized a specialized forum on June 12, focusing on smart solutions for zero-carbon mining. This event gathered representatives from local mining companies for in-depth discussions on the ecological transformation and intelligent modernization of mining enterprises in Central Asia. Yang emphasized, "The global mining industry is rapidly transitioning to more environmentally friendly and intelligent operations. XCMG aims to facilitate this transformation by providing comprehensive lines of equipment and solutions that enhance the intelligence of mining operations while promoting sustainability."
XCMG's presence in Kazakhstan dates back to 2001 and has steadily grown, contributing to the regional mining landscape. The firm has delivered over 40,000 units of various machinery including cranes, excavators, road machinery, and specialized vehicles. XCMG Kazakhstan, a subsidiary registered in Almaty in 2017, has since been actively involved in providing localized services such as equipment supply, customs clearance, warehousing, maintenance, dealer management, and staff training.
Yang also participated in a delegation visit from Jiangsu province to Kazakhstan and attended the Jiangsu-Kazakhstan Economic Cooperation Conference in Astana on June 12. He shared XCMG's experience in servicing Kazakhstan's mining companies, highlighting practical solutions that have proven effective in rugged mining conditions. For instance, at a lead-zinc mine in the Karaganda region, XCMG's equipment was expected to operate under extremely challenging conditions, including a demanding 5-kilometer transportation route and significant temperature fluctuations. Following a detailed evaluation of site conditions by the technical team, XCMG's solutions improved transportation volume by 12% over projected figures after six months of field testing, leading to increased demand from the client for additional units.
In yet another demonstration of innovation, XCMG introduced electric loaders at the Pustynnoe gold mine, which operate nearly 15 hours daily, achieving over 20 hours of continuous service. These electric machines are amongst the first in Kazakhstan, enhancing operational efficiency while minimizing the environmental impact through electrification.
XCMG is committed to expanding its comprehensive service offerings for clients across various sectors, including energy, industry, transportation, mining, and infrastructure. With a focus on providing more customized solutions and a robust localized service network, the company plans to intensify its efforts in the Kazakh market, utilizing its eco-friendly equipment and smart technology. XCMG remains dedicated to fostering growth not only in Kazakhstan but throughout Central Asia, driving sustainable practices in the mining industry towards a greener and more intelligent future.
