Recent Collaborative Seminar on Security Management
On December 2, 2025, a joint online seminar was conducted by Arsaga Partners and Macnica, two prominent companies in the technology and security sector. The seminar aimed to delve into the pressing issues surrounding security management, particularly focusing on identity management (ID management) and identity governance and administration (IGA).
The Growing Importance of Identity Management
As organizations increasingly leverage generative AI and microservices architecture, the number of accounts and identities to manage has surged dramatically. Contributing to the urgency of effective identity management is the rise in cyber-attacks that begin with identity breaches, along with a general shift towards a zero-trust security model. The landscape of access has transformed; rather than relying on system boundaries, trust is now anchored to the individual user.
In his presentation, Isiguro from Arsaga Partners explained the background of how identity management has become an urgent issue for corporations today. He outlined three main points driving this trend:
1.
Shift in Trust Foundations: Traditionally, security revolved around physical and system boundaries. However, with Zero Trust principles gaining traction, businesses are now required to scrutinize access at every level, requiring robust identity management systems.
2.
Evolving Cyber-Attack Targets: Attackers are increasingly shifting their focus from systems to user accounts. Misappropriated account credentials can allow malicious actors to navigate internal systems with the same privileges as legitimate users, emphasizing the need for strict identity controls.
3.
Diverse Account Management Needs: As the number of SaaS applications increases, the complexity of managing accounts compounds. The growth in accounts can outstrip human ability to manage them effectively, leading to an abundance of
