Spark Design Awards 2025: A Celebration of Global Talent



On December 9, 2025, the Spark Design Awards proudly announced the winners of its 19th annual competition, highlighting the finest examples of human-centered design and architecture from across the globe. With submissions from a diverse mix of countries including Austria, Belgium, Brazil, China, Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, the UK, and the USA, this event underscores the universal appeal of innovative design practices.

The Spark Design Awards, created to promote better living through improved design, recognized 97 outstanding entries after six days of rigorous evaluation by a panel of esteemed judges. As CEO and Founder Peter Kuchnicki shared, “Spark is delighted to highlight a year of quite wonderful Design and Designers. We congratulate the winners and thank all participants, our terrific judges and the team who pulled it together!”

Statistically Significant Recognition



Less than 3% of participants received the prestigious Platinum Spark Award, a testament to their exceptional quality and innovation. Notable Platinum winners included:

  • - Polygons Measuring Spoon, designed by Polygons Design from the USA, exemplifies functional aesthetics and user-friendly design;
  • - WAYTOUCH, a package design by Weimeizi E-commerce from China, showcases how packaging can enhance product interaction;
  • - Block House, an imaginative space created by Studio MK27 from Brazil, reflects the seamless blend of architecture and community.

Engaging the Next Generation of Designers



The event also celebrated academic contributions from students of renowned institutions such as the Art Center, Purdue University, and SCAD, showcasing the excitement and creativity from the next generation of designers. Spark boasts participation from various universities worldwide, including elite institutions from South Korea, the UK, and China, showcasing the breadth of talent within the field of design.

As Clark Kellogg, Spark Director, announced the next call for entries set for February 26, 2026, he expressed excitement for the upcoming 20th Spark Awards. Renowned designer Mike Nuttall, co-founder of IDEO, will reprise his role as Jury Chair and Mentor, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the prestigious event. This milestone further reinforces Spark’s commitment to fostering innovation in design.
