Lucid Launches Exciting Campaign Featuring Timothée Chalamet and James Mangold

Lucid's Exciting New Campaign Featuring Timothée Chalamet

Today marks the debut of Lucid Group's latest marketing effort for the Lucid Gravity, kicking off a multi-year partnership with Timothée Chalamet as the brand's global ambassador. Lucid, known for its cutting-edge electric vehicles, unveiled the campaign titled "Driven," directed by the acclaimed filmmaker James Mangold. The narrative is filled with adrenaline and highlights the remarkable capabilities of the Lucid Gravity.

In this campaign, Chalamet plays the role of a groom alongside actress Larsen Thompson, as they embark on an adventure to explore the world. When their motorcycle breaks down on a desolate desert road, the couple sneaks into a remote government facility, seizing a top-secret sports vehicle to drive off towards the horizon. This narrative positions the Lucid Gravity not merely as a vehicle but as a significant discovery – an electric SUV that combines unparalleled space, speed, and travel range, presenting the idea that it seems almost otherworldly.

The campaign includes a 30-second ad, a 60-second version, and an extended two-minute director's cut, showcasing a shared vision that pushes the boundaries of traditional marketing collaborations. This visual storytelling celebrates innovation, merging Lucid's brand identity with a thrilling driving experience orchestrated by professional driver Tanner Foust. The inclusion of the track "Burning" by Yeah Yeah Yeahs further enhances the cinematic experience.

Akerho “AK” Oghoghomeh, Lucid's VP of Marketing, noted, “This campaign represents an exciting step for Lucid as we move into a new era of storytelling. Collaborating with Timothée and James has opened up extraordinary opportunities to explore how cinematic artistry can breathe life into the Lucid Gravity.” The campaign underlines Lucid Gravity's status as a fully electric SUV that delivers unmatched versatility and performance coding it with sophisticated design and seemingly boundless capabilities. With the versatility of a three-row SUV and the performance paralleled to that of sports cars, the Lucid Gravity is positioned as the ideal travel companion for those keen to discover the world.

Chalamet, a two-time Academy Award nominee, earned acclaim recently for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in the film "Bob Dylan: A Complete Unknown," directed by Mangold. He is also set to star in "Marty Supreme" directed by Josh Safdie later this year, in addition to appearing in the highly anticipated film "Dune Part Three" next year, directed by Denis Villeneuve.
