Exciting Job Experience Event for Elementary Students

The Japan Automobile Federation (JAF) Tokyo Branch, led by Chief Executive Kato Kazuo, is collaborating with Tama Shinkin Bank, headed by President Kanai Masahiko, to host the "Hakken! Wakuwaku RISURU no Mori" job experience event on Saturday, August 1st. This engaging event will take place at the headquarters of Tama Shinkin Bank in Tachikawa City, Tokyo, and is specifically designed for elementary school students and their guardians.

Event Background

This initiative is part of a growing partnership between Tama Shinkin Bank and JAF Tokyo Branch. This collaboration originated in October 2025 when Tama Shinkin Bank participated in a job experience event organized by JAF Tokyo. The positive feedback and connections made at that event paved the way for this co-hosted experience for young students, aimed at fostering their interest in society and potential careers.

Both organizations are dedicated to providing learning opportunities that highlight the unique aspects of the Tama region, ensuring that local elements are incorporated into the experience.

Event Features

The event consists of three key stages: preliminary learning, hands-on experiences, and reflective discussions. Participants will engage in a variety of activities designed to deepen their understanding of the world of work in an enjoyable manner. Attendees will get to choose from six distinct job experience programs, selecting three to participate in. It’s important to note that while preferences will be considered, there might be instances where requests cannot be met.

• - Tama Urban Monorail: Experience the job of managing lost items at the station.
• - Fuji Ei / Oike Design: Participate in designing non-slip chopsticks and explore product design.
• - Tama no Kensaku-chan: Dive into the influencer world by creating YouTube thumbnails.
• - Tama Art Museum: Challenge yourself with tasks typical of a museum curator.
• - Tama Shinkin Bank: Get a taste of financial planning at the bank's service window.
• - JAF Tokyo Branch: Become a child road service operator or crew member.
