New HADO Arena Opens in Fuji Park to Promote Social Connections

HADO Arena 'Higezo-no-Wonder LAB' Opens

On April 4, 2026, a groundbreaking new facility called the 'Higezo-no-Wonder LAB' will officially open at Fuji Park in Edogawa, Tokyo. This unique center is the result of a collaboration between the White Beard Company, which provides support for individuals who are withdrawn from school or experiencing social difficulties, and Meleap Inc., known for their innovative augmented reality (AR) activities.

A Welcome Space for Many

The Higezo-no-Wonder LAB aims to create a fun environment where families visiting the park can enjoy themselves, while also offering a supportive space for those struggling with social connections. Those who face challenges with school attendance or social interaction will find a welcoming place to engage with others through play. This initiative is underscored by the supervision of Shirohige Home Medical Clinic, which focuses on home medical care, nursing, and disability welfare services.

To coincide with the grand opening, a pre-launch event will take place on April 3 from 2 PM to 5 PM, providing local children the chance to experience 'HADO' for free.

Addressing a Growing Social Issue

The establishment of Higezo-no-Wonder LAB comes amidst increasing concerns over school withdrawal and social isolation. Traditional welfare approaches can often overlook the importance of enjoyment and lived experiences, making this facility particularly relevant. The Shirohige Family, known for fostering a nostalgic and comforting atmosphere for individuals with mental health challenges, has recognized the need for a space where communication among children can blossom.

Through activities such as ‘HADO’, the facility hopes to ignite engagement among participants. This AR game encourages teamwork and interaction, promoting emotional expression and connection among players. It serves not just as entertainment but as a therapeutic tool to cultivate community bonds.

Features and Offerings

Located within Fuji Park, the Higezo-no-Wonder LAB features a dedicated HADO arena where friends and families can come to play, regardless of age or physical ability. The center will provide various play plans, such as a 20-minute experience for 1,200 yen per person and a 'play all you can' plan for 1,800 yen for 60 minutes, ensuring accessibility for all. Support and equipment rental will be available, making it easy for newcomers to participate.

The facility anticipates that local children will start attending regularly, enhancing physical fitness and promoting teamwork skills while building their confidence through competitive gameplay.

Event Details

The grand opening will be held on April 4, with various promotional activities appealing to guests. Players who spend over 1,000 yen will receive raffle tickets offering a chance to win prizes, including original merchandise. The day's activities will run from 10 AM to 9 PM.

With a commitment to fostering social interaction through enjoyable experiences, the Higezo-no-Wonder LAB is positioned to become an important part of the local community, especially for those facing social challenges.

About HADO

Derived from Japanese innovation, 'HADO' is a straightforward AR activity that engages players in friendly competition using physical movements. It transcends age and fitness levels, making it suitable for family gatherings or recreational outings.

The expanding applications of HADO in educational settings highlight its efficacy in reducing withdrawal tendencies and improving communication skills among children. Recognized by the 8th Japan ICT Education Award, HADO has proven its educational value in community initiatives.

Voices from the Team

The team at Higezo-no-Wonder LAB expresses excitement about providing a revitalizing space for all. They aspire to engage community members through 'HADO', promoting health and happiness as essential parts of everyday life.

In an era where social connection is vital, the Higezo-no-Wonder LAB stands ready to lead the charge toward a healthier, more connected community.
