As the holiday season approaches, the spirit of giving is palpable, and Häagen-Dazs® is making a significant stride toward creating positive community impact. The beloved ice cream brand has announced a partnership with GiftAMeal, an innovative platform that converts customer photos into meal donations for those in need. This initiative, commencing on December 1, 2025, will see over 100 Häagen-Dazs® shops across 22 states participating in a campaign that merges enjoyment with philanthropy.
Häagen-Dazs® guests will have the opportunity to contribute to this noble cause simply by indulging in their favorite treats. Each time a customer visits a participating shop, they can scan a QR code in-store and take a photo of their order via the GiftAMeal app. For each photo shared, a monetary donation will be made to a local food bank at zero expense to the guests themselves. This initiative not only brings happiness through ice cream but also helps to provide meals to families facing food insecurity.
According to the program, each donation translates into 1.2 pounds of nutritious groceries, providing a meaningful contribution to local food banks. Additionally, guests can amplify their impact; for each social media platform they share their photo on, an additional meal will be donated. This simple act of sharing has the potential to gather significant support and draw attention to the looming issue of hunger.
