Sectra Reports Remarkable Surge in Cloud Recurring Revenue in Latest Interim Report

Sectra's Impressive Cloud Revenue Surge

Linköping, Sweden – The international medical imaging IT and cybersecurity leader, Sectra (STO: SECT B), has announced a remarkable milestone in its three-month interim report for May to July 2026. The company reported that its recurring revenue from cloud services surpassed SEK 1 billion for the first time when assessed on a rolling 12-month basis. This achievement underlines Sectra's robust growth trajectory, driven by strategic investments and increasing demand from a diverse array of customers.

Key Financial Highlights

During the first quarter, despite a decrease in contracted order bookings by 46.6% down to SEK 699 million, Net sales grew significantly by 25.8%, amounting to SEK 963 million. Notably, the recurring revenue segment accounted for SEK 723 million of total sales, marking an increase of 31.7% from the previous year.

One of the significant factors contributing to this growth has been cloud recurring revenue (CRR), which surged by an impressive 75.3% to SEK 315 million. This dramatic increase is a testament to Sectra's ongoing commitment to delivering high-quality cloud solutions tailored to client needs.

Operating profits also showed a healthy increase, climbing 60.9% to SEK 191 million, correlating to an operating margin that improved to 19.8% from 15.5% a year prior.

Strategic Investments Pay Off

Torbjörn Kronander, President and CEO of Sectra AB, expressed his satisfaction with the recent results, stating, "The growing reliance on our services positively impacted our earnings during the first quarter. The results reflect not just our strong order bookings over recent years, but also our long-term investments aimed at expanding our cloud services capacity."

The rise in customer engagement showcases Sectra's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of healthcare professionals and institutions worldwide. As more customers integrate Sectra’s services into their daily operations, the reliable revenue stream fortifies the company's position in the medical imaging and cybersecurity markets.

However, Kronander also acknowledged that continuous investment in infrastructure and resources is needed to maintain service quality and customer trust. "While these investments may affect profitability in shorter terms, they are vital for enhancing our service delivery and capitalizing on long-term market opportunities," he added.

Future Outlook

The report underscores the critical role that Sectra's cloud services will play in its growth strategy moving forward. With a robust order book and a dedication to innovation, the company is well-positioned to leverage the healthcare industry's transition towards more advanced technological solutions.
