Blue Earth Alliance Presents Circular Economy Model at PIECLEX Conference 2026

Blue Earth Alliance's Pioneering Steps Towards a Circular Society

On March 25, 2026, the Blue Earth Alliance (BEA) took center stage at the PIECLEX Conference 2026 held at the Jiji Press Hall in Tokyo's Ginza district. Led by representative Akihiro Mori, the BEA showcased its newly launched circular economy model aimed at achieving regional sustainability through effective collaboration with businesses and municipalities. The event was organized by Pieclex Corporation, featuring notable guests such as TV personality Sho Takei and Miss Japan 2026 winner Eiko Noguchi.

Event Overview: A New Frontier in Circular Society

Under the theme "The New Frontier of Implementing Circular Society through P-FACTS," the conference consisted of three parts. The first session featured a keynote speech by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry detailing the latest trends in resource circulation policies for apparel and textile products. The second session introduced the official uniform for the upcoming GREEN×EXPO 2027 along with engaging activities led by Takei and Noguchi. The third session focused on the P-FACTS social implementation report, where real-world examples of circular economy integration were presented, including the official announcement of BEA's establishment.

Over 20 exhibition booths were set up in the conference foyer, including a dedicated space for BEA, where attendees showed strong interest in the showcased circular models and partnership systems.

BEA's Presentation: Realizing a Sustainable Circular Cycle

In the third part of the conference, titled "P-FACTS Social Implementation Report," Akihiro Mori of BEA and Shuhei Suehiro from Dooox talked about the organization's establishment and the practical implementation of the circular cycle through P-FACTS products. They highlighted a successful case study from Tawaramoto in Nara Prefecture, where P-FACTS-compatible items such as gloves and towels are used. Following events, the products are collected, composted, and utilized in agricultural activities, creating a local closed-loop model that embodies the principles of "Local Procurement, Local Consumption, and Local Recycling."

Further enhancing the collaboration, BEA introduced the "P-FACTS Partner Certification System", enabling businesses and municipalities to participate easily in the circular economy by fulfilling at least one of seven roles defined in the system. The system categorizes partners into four tiers: Green, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Additionally, attendees were introduced to the "Cotton Owner System," allowing participants who purchase over 50,000 yen worth of P-FACTS products to plant cotton on abandoned farmland, generating considerable interest from the visitors.

Responses from the Exhibition Booth

The BEA booth showcased samples of P-FACTS products and cotton, alongside informative panels explaining the overall cycle. Feedback from attendees reflected their interest, with many expressing that they could incorporate such models into their own operations, citing the appeal of simultaneously revitalizing communities and ensuring environmental sustainability. Many visitors approached the booth for specific inquiries about the partnership system following the presentations.

Comments from Representative Akihiro Mori

Mori expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to present at such a prestigious conference. He highlighted the importance of collaboration among diverse stakeholders—municipalities, businesses, organizations, and consumers—to create effective cycles in a circular economy. BEA aims to serve as a connecting entity to facilitate this sustainability effort. He invited various enterprises and organizations to join as P-FACTS partners to expand the circular economy's reach.

Future Prospects

Moving forward, BEA plans to accelerate the implementation of circular systems nationwide by expanding its P-FACTS partnerships. Various engagement approaches, including the Cotton Owner System, cater to the involvement of businesses and municipalities from different perspectives. Companies and organizations interested in this initiative are encouraged to get in touch for further discussions.
