Explore the Exciting Innovations at the Osaka Kansai Expo 2025 Pavilion

Osaka Kansai Expo 2025: Revolutionizing Future Cities

The long-awaited Osaka Kansai Expo, officially opened on April 13, 2025, is making waves with its commitment to sustainability and technological advancement. One of the standout features of this Expo is the Future City Pavilion, showcasing interactive experiences aimed at highlighting innovations in urban planning and energy production. This pavilion is supported by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, a bronze partner of the event, and centers around an exciting installation called "Wind Vision."

The Wind Vision Attraction

At the heart of the Future City Pavilion is the "Wind Vision Attraction," an engaging and educational experience featuring a large-scale model of the zero-emission vessel, the Wind Hunter. Measuring approximately 4 meters in length and 3 meters in height, this model is designed to teach visitors about the production and transportation of hydrogen through renewable energy sources.

Visitors can participate by using fans to simulate wind, which in turn activates the model and initiates a virtual journey. As they blow air towards the Wind Hunter, they witness how hydrogen is produced, transported, and distributed, all projected on a large screen behind the model. Not only does the sail of the model move and rotate with the wind, but the scenarios change based on air volume, providing a dynamic learning experience. Each participant will receive a special fan as a souvenir, making the experience memorable.

Original Film Presentations

Complementing the Wind Vision Attraction, five original themed films run continuously on a large screen. These films cover topics such as "Creating a Hydrogen Society," "Harnessing Infinite Wind Power," "Connecting Manufacturing," "Generating Value in Everyday Life," and "Driving the Future." These engaging narratives aim to broaden the audience's understanding of the shipping industry and its relationship with society. Additionally, a collaboration video featuring the Wind Hunter and Kawasaki Heavy Industries' next-generation hydrogen fuel mobility will be displayed on an impressive 17-meter screen, showcasing the synergy between these two innovations.

Collaborative Exhibition with Kawasaki Heavy Industries

The exhibit stands out with its collaboration with Kawasaki Heavy Industries, an organization also focused on hydrogen. By combining efforts and displaying joint videos, the experience illustrates the evolution of hydrogen society and mobility on a grand scale, inviting further interest in the topic.
