Kawai Juku Group's New Educational Initiative
The Kawai Juku Group, represented by KJ Holdings in Shinjuku, Tokyo, has exciting news to share. Their recent educational project focused on Southeast Asia has been officially adopted as part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's (MEXT) 'EDU-Port Japan' initiative. This project aims to expand Japan's unique educational model globally and encompasses managing kindergartens to high schools, as well as learning centers and mock examination services.
What is EDU-Port Japan?
EDU-Port Japan represents a collaborative effort between the public and private sectors to promote Japan's educational model abroad. The initiative encourages partnerships among various stakeholders, including government ministries such as the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as organizations like JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) and JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization). By forming a platform that unites these entities, EDU-Port Japan aims to create a favorable environment for exporting Japan's educational strengths.

Background of the Project
Southeast Asia, particularly Vietnam, is witnessing a surge in demand for quality educational services due to rapid economic growth and an expanding middle class. Recently, there has been an increasing interest in Japanese-style early childhood education. Additionally, the diversification of university entrance examinations has created a growing need for reliable mock exams and career guidance information. As awareness of non-cognitive skills development rises, there are ample opportunities to leverage Kawai Juku Group's long-standing educational expertise.
This project aims to respond to these educational demands and enhance educational quality while supporting individual self-realization.
Overview of Activities
The Kawai Juku Group's initiative will include the implementation of tutoring services, mock exams, and assessments for non-cognitive skill development. The project will also encompass the management of educational institutions from kindergarten through high school and the development of B2B educational and workforce development services targeting businesses and schools. The project initially focuses on Vietnam but intends to expand its reach across Southeast Asia, tailoring educational services to local needs.
KJ Holdings is currently seeking partners for this project as well as other domestic and international educational endeavors. Those interested in collaboration are encouraged to check for further details.
