Salad and Go Charities Allocates $174,000 to Local Nonprofits for Fighting Hunger

Salad and Go Charities Invests in Local Nonprofits

In an inspiring initiative aimed at combating food insecurity, Salad and Go Charities has announced its first-ever Nourishing Communities Grant program. This new program will distribute a significant $174,000 across 52 nonprofit organizations in Arizona, Texas, Nevada, and Oklahoma, focused on addressing hunger in their respective communities.

Founded with a mission to provide nutritious food and education to underserved populations, Salad and Go Charities accomplished this funding through contributions from its guests during the Guest Give campaign in October 2024. Nonprofits seeking financial support were invited to apply for grants of up to $10,000, which they will use to enhance local resources aimed at fighting food scarcity.

Addressing Local Needs

The awarded grants are intended to facilitate a range of essential services. Organizations can utilize the funding to expand kitchen facilities, acquire cooking equipment, source nutritious ingredients, and support community gardens, among other expenses that improve the operation of hunger relief efforts. These actions will have a direct impact on the ability of these nonprofits to serve their communities more effectively.

Brandi Hale, the executive director of Salad and Go Charities, expressed the organization's commitment to fighting hunger. "Our Nourishing Communities Grant program reflects our unwavering commitment to fighting hunger and uplifting those in need. By directing 100% of the funds raised through the Salad and Go Guest Give campaign, we strive to create healthier, more resilient neighborhoods where no one goes hungry," she stated.

Community Impact

In addition to the impressive grant distributions, Salad and Go Charities has an expanded history of community service. In 2024 alone, the organization donated over 188,000 meals, educated more than 1,200 children and their families through health workshops, and raised a substantial $411,000 in support of food security efforts. Since its inception, the Guest Give initiative has garnered over $1.3 million, contributing to the significant fight against hunger.

Salad and Go's commitment to community enhancement is also reflected in its Salad Donation Program, which has successfully provided over 900,000 meals in the areas where it operates. These continuous efforts exemplify how the company is not just a food service but a supporter of healthier lifestyles and community well-being.
