Kia America Celebrates Record Quarter and Annual Sales Achievements

Kia America Sets New Sales Records for Q3 and Year-to-Date

Kia America recently announced outstanding performance in vehicle sales, achieving the best quarterly and year-to-date results in the company's history. The third quarter of 2025 saw Kia record a total of 219,637 units sold, marking an impressive 9% increase compared to the previous year. In September alone, sales rose by 11%, with 65,507 units delivered to dealerships.

This surge in sales is a significant milestone for Kia, coming off the back of a strong demand for both electrified and traditional vehicles. The new data reveals that sales of Kia's electrified models soared by 26%, while sedans saw a 19% increase, and SUVs experienced a 6% rise. The Kia EV9, in particular, achieved remarkable monthly and quarterly sales, moving 3,094 units in September and totaling 7,510 units for the quarter.

Kia's impressive year-to-date sales now stand at 636,148 units, a record that reflects a 10% increase from the same timeframe in 2024. This upward trend places Kia in a promising position to reach yet another record for annual sales, following two previously successful years.

Eric Watson, vice president of Sales Operations at Kia America, expressed optimism about the company's trajectory. He stated, "As we enter the final quarter of the year, these excellent sales results position Kia favorably for another record annual sales and an unprecedented market share for our brand. With double-digit increases in sales for our electrified models and sedans showcasing the competitive appeal of our diverse lineup, we are confident that our world-class range of vehicles will continue to attract both new and returning customers to Kia dealerships well into 2026."

Among the star performers, six models recorded significant sales increases in the first three quarters of 2025: the K5 (+85%), Carnival (+48%), Telluride (+13%), Sportage (+13%), Sorento (+7%), and K4 (+4%). These figures illustrate a robust acceptance of Kia's expanding portfolio, catering to a variety of consumer preferences.

In addition to sales results, Kia America made headlines with the announcement of the 2026 Sorento SUV, which will be offered in multiple powertrains, including internal combustion, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid options. Enhancements to the Sorento's exterior design and its new leather-wrapped steering wheel are set to elevate its appeal further. The starting price for the internal combustion model will be $32,190, while the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions will start at $38,890 and $48,290, respectively.

Kia also continues to promote the 2026 hybrid Sportage, as the best-selling vehicle in its range. Aimed at maintaining its competitive edge, the Sportage highlights design innovation, technology, and comfort, offering three different powertrains, including a powerful hybrid turbo option.

As Kia America forges ahead, the company's commitment to quality and innovation remains at the forefront of its operations. Headquartered in Irvine, California, Kia America has consistently led automotive quality surveys and earned recognition as one of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies by TIME in 2024. Kia's dedication to sustainability and excellence is evident in its range of gasoline, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and electric vehicles, with availability through a network of over 800 dealerships across the United States. Many of Kia's vehicles, including select models of the EV6 and EV9, Sportage, Sorento, and Telluride, are proudly assembled in the U.S.

In summary, Kia America's achievements in sales during the third quarter of 2025 highlight the brand's growing popularity and customer loyalty. With a robust lineup and a focus on innovation, Kia is well-positioned to continue its upward trajectory in the auto industry.
