Groundbreaking All-Electric Buses Redefine Urban Mobility at Bus World 2025

CRRC EV Unveils Innovative All-Electric Buses at Bus World 2025

On October 4, 2025, CRRC Electric Vehicle Co., Ltd. (CRRC EV), a subsidiary of the esteemed CRRC Corporation Ltd., marked a pivotal moment in urban transportation by unveiling two state-of-the-art all-electric buses at the Busworld Europe 2025 Congress held in Brussels, Belgium. This event not only showcased their advanced vehicles but also introduced their cutting-edge CRRC Digital Intelligent Low-Carbon Urban Transportation System Solution, further establishing their leadership in the realm of new energy commercial vehicles and clean technology.

Introduction to the All-Electric Buses

The first notable model introduced at the congress is the EU12C, a premium all-electric coach designed with high-end travel in mind. This innovative vehicle features an impressive 800-V architecture, delivering peak power of 480 kW and torque of 5,100 N•m, allowing it to scale grades exceeding 30%. Its aerodynamically optimized body and sophisticated powertrain enable it to achieve a remarkable range of up to 550 km on a single charge. Furthermore, it supports ultra-fast charging, significantly reducing downtime and enhancing its operational efficiency.

The second model, the ED12 all-electric double-decker transit bus, is equally impressive. It can accommodate up to 126 passengers and boasts an urban range of up to 560 km per charge under ESORT working conditions. Constructed from lightweight 6000-series aluminum alloy, derived from high-speed rail technology, this bus promises a longevity of 20 years. Safety is a priority, reflected by its advanced 10-layer battery safety architecture.

The CRRC System: A Comprehensive Urban Transit Solution

At the core of CRRC’s offerings lies the Smart Cloud Brain (TOCC), a centralized platform integrating big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. This innovative system ensures end-to-end sensing, transmission, analysis, and application, ultimately enhancing precision management and facilitating real-time decision-making for urban transit.

One of the standout features is the Urban MaaS (Mobility as a Service), which prioritizes transit with AI-powered scheduling, on-demand ride-hailing services, and smart maintenance capabilities. The robust two-tier network utilises metros, smart rails, and buses as foundational elements, supplemented by branch lines and micro-shuttles to ensure efficient last-mile connectivity. A noteworthy pilot program named “Yunshang Bus” in Zhuzhou employs five H05 vehicles on demand, achieving more than ten times the monthly revenue compared to traditional fixed-route bus services, highlighting the potential of this innovative approach.

The Smart Logistics feature further enhances operational efficiency, integrating public transit with logistics to decrease last-mile delivery costs by 50% while simultaneously improving efficiency by 40%.

Towards Sustainable Mobility

CRRC demonstrates a strong commitment to build sustainable urban mobility solutions by leveraging its extensive expertise in new energy components and clean energy technologies. The company’s innovative approach encompasses a
