Sake Event Hosted at MINNA SHOWTEN
The MINNA SHOWTEN in Shimokitazawa, operated by UPDATER Co., Ltd. (based in Setagaya, Tokyo), is gearing up for a groundbreaking event on December 5th and 6th, 2025. This event celebrates the unique Japanese sake, 'S風の森', produced by Yuichiro Sake Brewery from Nara Prefecture's newly-opened Katsuragisanroku Brewing Facility (or Sanroku-kura). This initiative aims to connect the Satoyama to future generations.
With UPDATER's soil diagnostic service 'MINNA DAICHI', the brewery has established a new standard of value in sake called 'Ishin Sake Degree'. This new metric assesses contributions to the future of satoyama and terraced rice farming. 720 microbes per gram have been detected in rice fields using only organic methods, resulting in the production of 'S風の森 First Edition', which boasts a remarkable Ishin Sake Degree rating of two stars.
During this special event, attendees will have the opportunity to hear from esteemed guests, including Nagahiro Yamamoto, the president of Yuichiro Sake Brewery, and Yuna Nakagawa, the head of Sanroku-kura. They will delve into the significance of Ishin Sake Degree with insights from the 'MINNA DAICHI' members.
Participants will be able to taste two exclusive varieties of S風の森 2024☆☆杉浦/西地区02. and S風の森 2024☆☆杉浦/南地区02., exploring differences in flavor profiles while learning about the personal stories behind Japanese sake and the land that nurtured it.

About S風の森
'S風の森' represents a revolutionary approach to Japanese sake, incorporating a new standard of evaluation through Ishin Sake Degree. At the event, participants will sample 'S風の森 2024☆☆杉浦/西地区02.' made from rice sourced from the praised '西地区A', which achieved a notable microbe count of 720. The 'S風の森 2024☆☆杉浦/南地区02.' utilizes rice from the southern area, which also secured the two-star evaluation in the last assessment.
