Carena's extensive background in leadership positions prepares him for this new challenge. He joined Mars in 2022, successfully overseeing operations in 55 markets and delivering significant results. Prior to his tenure at Mars, he made waves in the fast-food industry as the Managing Director for McDonald's in Russia, leading a workforce of over 60,000 employees and transforming the market into one of McDonald's fastest-growing regions.

With his rich experience in retail and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) from esteemed companies like Metro Group and Nestlé, Carena brings a wealth of knowledge to Mars Petcare. His role as Vice-President of the European Food and Drink Association showcases his commitment to representing the interests of FMCG companies, further underlining his versatility in various business environments.
