Curaleaf's Annual 'Feed the Block' Fundraiser Tackles U.S. Food Insecurity

Fifth Annual 'Feed the Block' Fundraiser by Curaleaf

Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. has officially launched its fifth annual initiative, 'Feed the Block,' aimed at combating food insecurity in the United States. Since its inception in 2020, this campaign has raised over $450,000, helping to provide essential resources and meals to communities nationwide, especially during the holiday season when food donations are particularly needed.

The 'Feed the Block' Mission

'
At Curaleaf, community engagement is about taking action and demonstrating accountability,' stated Boris Jordan, the company's Chairman and CEO. The 'Feed the Block' initiative represents this commitment, uniting teams, customers, and local partners to confront the pressing issue of hunger affecting millions of Americans. Approximately one in ten individuals lives in households struggling with accessing enough food, according to the 2025 Map the Meal Gap report. This staggering statistic reinforces the continued importance of localized, community-driven solutions like 'Feed the Block.'

How It Works

The fundraiser will be active throughout November and December, engaging Curaleaf dispensaries across 12 states: Arizona, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Utah. Customers visiting participating dispensaries can choose to round up their purchases to the nearest dollar or make additional donations at checkout, with all contributions directed toward local food-relief organizations.

In addition to in-store contributions, Curaleaf employees will actively participate in various community service activities, including food drives and meal preparation events, working alongside local grocers and nonprofit partners to increase food access in their regions.

Community Engagement and Impact

The initiative not only promotes giving but also serves as a platform for community engagement. Curaleaf encourages customers to be active participants in their neighborhoods' well-being. By August 2025, the organization had successfully provided meals to thousands of families, indicative of its effectiveness and the generosity of its patrons.

Your Role in the Fight Against Hunger

As the holidays approach, consider visiting a Curaleaf dispensary to contribute to this meaningful cause. Together, through small actions such as rounding up change, communities can come together to create a significant impact in the fight against hunger.

Looking Ahead

Curaleaf's ongoing efforts through 'Feed the Block' signal a long-term commitment to community well-being. For more information on Curaleaf's initiatives and to learn how you can support, check their website at www.curaleaf.com.

Curaleaf is not just repositioning the cannabis industry; it is also carving out a path for corporate social responsibility that can inspire other businesses to follow suit. As they continue their initiatives, the hope is to create a legacy of compassion, collaboration, and community support that extends well beyond the cannabis space.
