MBDA and AXISCADES Strengthen Strategic Cooperation at Paris Air Show

During the Paris Air Show 2025, a significant announcement was made by Éric Béranger, the CEO of MBDA, and Dr. Sampath Ravinarayanan, the President of AXISCADES. They both reaffirmed their dedication to enhancing their existing partnership, aligning with MBDA's long-term vision, "Make in India."

Strengthening Existing Collaboration

AXISCADES Aerospace Technologies Pvt. Ltd. acts as MBDA's Indian offset partner, providing custom-designed test benches and solutions tailored for MICA missiles and missile launchers. They also oversee the depot-level maintenance for these launchers, delivering high-quality, cost-effective capabilities to MBDA. As MBDA expands its global operations, both companies anticipate an increase in workload, prompting further collaboration.

Expanding Scope of Partnership

The partnership is set to broaden into new areas of collaboration. AXISCADES, already a recognized supplier for the Indian Ministry of Defence and supporting major global aerospace manufacturers, will leverage its advanced engineering and defense systems capabilities. The two companies will explore how these skills can bolster future MBDA programs within India, especially in support of the Indian government's self-reliance initiative, "Atmanirbhar Bharat."

To facilitate this expansion, working groups have been created to identify new cooperation areas and implement them effectively.

New Facility in Aerospace Park

In a move to further support this collaboration, AXISCADES has announced plans to establish a dedicated facility for MBDA in their new Aerospace Park location, close to the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. This state-of-the-art facility will feature a laboratory test bench, missile launch infrastructure, advanced tools, equipment, and qualified personnel. This setup aims to ensure continued excellence in delivery and support for MBDA.
