Showa Science to Showcase Agilent Technologies' Multi-Detector Platform at JASIS 2026

Showa Science's Groundbreaking Exhibition at JASIS 2026

From September 2 to 4, 2026, Showa Science Co., Ltd., a proud subsidiary of Shoko Trade Co., Ltd., will be participating in JASIS 2026, the premier exhibition for analytical and scientific instruments held at Makuhari Messe. With an increasing demand for sophisticated analysis techniques in the fields of biopharmaceutical research and materials science, Showa Science is set to showcase an array of innovative technologies.

Advanced Analytical Solutions

The highlight of Showa Science's exhibition will be the introduction of the multi-detector platform from Agilent Technologies, Inc., a global leader in analytical measurement technology. This cutting-edge system includes the Agilent 1260 Infinity II Multi-Angle Light Scattering (MALS) detector, which is pivotal for accurately measuring the molecular weight, size, and shape of polymers in solution. Such instruments have become essential across various research domains, from advanced materials to functional polymers.

Additionally, the exhibition will feature extensive capabilities of the Zeta-APS, a device that measures particle size distribution and zeta potential in concentrated samples without requiring dilution. With a maximum sample concentration of 60 vol%, research teams can obtain precise measurements directly from stock samples, saving time and enhancing efficiency.

Starting this autumn, Showa Science will officially launch the GPC Multi-Detector, the Agilent 1260 Infinity II MDS, specifically designed for Gel Permeation Chromatography (GPC) applications in material science and pharmaceuticals. With its interchangeable modules for light scattering, viscosity, and differential refractive index, this integrated multi-detector platform is extremely versatile, accommodating all types of GPC analyses.

Educational Presentation Schedule

As part of its commitment to knowledge sharing, Showa Science will host a series of informative seminars at the exhibition.

  • - September 2: "Measuring Particle Size Distribution and Zeta Potential Without Dilution" from 12:45 to 13:15 in room 101. This seminar will demonstrate the technology behind measuring concentrated slurries without requiring dilution, along with real-world case studies.

  • - September 3: Two seminars will take place: "Characterization of Various Polymers Using SEC-MALS" from 15:00 to 15:30 in room 101, which will provide insights into the measurement principles and applications of SEC-MALS for polymer analysis, and "Intro to HPLC: Troubleshooting and Maintenance" from 14:00 to 14:30 in room 8, offering practical advice for common issues faced in HPLC.

  • - September 4: The final seminar will focus on "Rapid GPC Analysis of Polymers and Additives" between 10:30 and 11:00 in room 7, showcasing the Shodex GPC HK-400 series capabilities for rapid analysis with high separation efficacy, demonstrating environmental awareness through solvent reduction.
