From August 29 to September 6, 2026, Harajuku will welcome a unique charity art event,
THE CHARITY: #01 - Art to Rescue Animals, hosted at
JPS GALLERY Tokyo. Organized by
Petlog Co., Ltd., this event aims to support animal welfare by featuring over 70 art pieces created by both domestic and international artists.

The
THE CHARITY event will showcase works from 33 talented artists, with pieces available for purchase. Each sale not only allows attendees to bring home beautiful art but also contributes directly to supporting animal rescue organizations and individuals committed to the welfare of animals.
Admission to the event is free, and guests are encouraged to bring their pets! During the event, there's also the opportunity to meet adorable rescue dogs and cats available for adoption. The adoption fair will take place on designated days, offering a chance for attendees to connect with these animals in need of forever homes.

Collaborative Art and Charity Goods
Throughout the event, various collaboration products with artists will be available for purchase. The merchandise includes unique items created in partnership with influencers and THE CHARITY's own original designs. All proceeds from sales made during the event will go towards providing necessary supplies for animal rescue efforts.
Daily workshops will also be held, including a
Sonny Angel painting workshop where participants can express their creativity on specially designed mini-figurines. This interactive experience aims to engage attendees while supporting a worthy cause.
Supporting Animal Welfare
The profits generated during the event will be entirely directed towards supporting local animal welfare organizations and individual activists who tirelessly work to rescue animals in need. With alarming statistics indicating that over 6,000 animals are euthanized in Japan each year, events like
THE CHARITY are crucial to fostering a culture that prioritizes animal welfare and responsible guardianship.
Organizations involved in this event include
Animal Aid Circle Dog-Nuts from Tokyo and
Tsunagu-cat from Saitama, each dedicated to unique rescue missions and community outreach efforts. Their participation adds significant value to the event, highlighting their impactful work in fostering compassion and empathy towards animals.
Venue and Participation
JPS GALLERY Tokyo in Shibuya will serve as the event’s venue. This art gallery was established in 2014 and actively supports new and established artists alike. Through their cooperation and support, the gallery has made this event possible, emphasizing the role of art in advancing social causes.
