Celebration of Noufuku Day: Advocating Agricultural Welfare Collaboration Across Japan

Celebrating Noufuku Day on November 29!

On November 29, Japan celebrates Noufuku Day, aimed at raising awareness for agricultural welfare collaboration. This year, from November 1 to December 31, a series of events titled "More and More Noufuku 2025" will take place across the country. These events are designed to enhance and promote partnerships between agriculture and welfare sectors.

What is Agricultural Welfare Collaboration?

Agricultural welfare collaboration involves integrating individuals with disabilities and other diverse groups into the agricultural and fisheries industries. By providing opportunities, it fosters self-confidence, a sense of purpose, and promotes social participation. These initiatives play a critical role in addressing workforce shortages and aging populations in the agricultural sector. They work towards building a community where everyone can unlock their full potential.

On June 2023, the Cabinet Secretariat announced the establishment of November 29 as Noufuku Day, as part of the newly revised vision for agricultural welfare promotion. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) will collaborate with various ministries to host the "Noufuku Day Commemorative Event 2025" and related activities nationwide.
