New Leadership at UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation

The UPMC Children's Hospital Foundation Board of Trustees has recently welcomed three new members: John (Jake) Ploeger, Michael D. Thomas, and Meron Yemane. Michael D. Thomas

Notably, he was the first person outside the Pittsburgh region to join the Board of Directors for UPMC Children's Hospital in 2022.

Impact of the New Appointments

According to Vanessa Morehouse, Chair of the Board of the Foundation, the new trustees were selected not only for their individual accomplishments but also for their dedication to children's health. As the Foundation gears up for the final year of its 'This Moment' campaign, their diverse expertise will be crucial in advancing the Foundation's goals. In the coming months, their influence is expected to propel initiatives that enhance pediatric healthcare access and quality.

The 'This Moment' campaign stands as a testament to the Foundation's commitment to transforming children's health. This campaign aims to raise vital funds for innovative research, high-quality care, and community health initiatives that prioritize the well-being of children.
