Insights from the Halmeck Generation: Housework Preferences
In an intriguing survey conducted by the Halmeck Living Insights Institute, women aged 50 and above in Japan shared their thoughts on household chores. The survey included insights from 588 pre-survey participants and 519 survey respondents, revealing a detailed ranking of their favorite and least favored house chores.
Methodology of the Survey
The survey was divided into two parts: a pre-survey and the main survey. In the pre-survey, participants were asked to list their three favorite and least favorite house chores. From these responses, a selection of 25 items covering both favorite and least favorite chores was made. The main survey then evaluated these items on a 7-point scale, aiming to capture the sentiments of women aged 50 to 84 across Japan.
