Summary of the Event
On February 25, a fascinating report and networking event was held for the first term of the East Tokyo Monozukuri Future School at the Sumida Innovation Core in Kinshicho. This initiative began in August 2025, led by the International Fashion Center, aimed at supporting the region's emerging talents in manufacturing.
About the East Tokyo Monozukuri Future School
The East Tokyo Monozukuri Future School aims to support young entrepreneurs and successors involved in manufacturing in the East Tokyo region, covers areas such as Sumida, Taito, Arakawa, Adachi, Katsushika, Koto, and Edogawa wards. Over a period of about two years, the program will assist selected businesses in assessing their current situations, refining their business models, and strengthening their operations. A dedicated director team, led by Yuu Yamada, provides individual support to set goals and implement actionable plans.
Event Details
The event began at 15:30, with doors opening at 15:15. It featured a talk session by guest speaker Akira Fujiwara, who serves as the Executive Director of Fujiwara Printing Co., where he discussed his experiences in the family business of printing—an industry reliant on orders.

Established in September 1991, the International Fashion Center (KFC) is a unique collaboration involving the Sumida Ward, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, and a variety of private sector stakeholders focused on fashion and lifestyle-related small businesses.
