OWARAI ASAKUSA: A Celebration of Japanese Comedy
This summer, prepare for a unique comedic experience as the show
OWARAI ASAKUSA takes center stage at the iconic
Toyo-kan in Asakusa. From
July 10 to 17 and again from
September 2 to 11, 2026, this all-English comedy show aims to bring Japanese humor to a global audience.
What to Expect
The event will feature 12 talented comedians including famous acts like
Iwasaki U Dai (from Kamomentaru),
Kohei Ueda,
Kurokoppu,
The Geese, and many more. Each performance will last about an hour, beginning at 7:00 PM, guaranteeing plenty of laughter and entertainment.
Tickets for this extraordinary showcase are priced at
6,000 yen (approximately

This event's inception follows the successful performance of Japanese comedians at
The Second City in Chicago earlier this year, where their unique brand of humor struck a chord with audiences. Inspired by the positive feedback, the team has decided to expand this experience with a significantly larger ensemble.
