Arakawa Giken Kogyo's Brand Evolution for the Future
Arakawa Giken Kogyo Co., Ltd., based in Shibuya, Tokyo, is embarking on a transformative journey as it refreshes its Visual Identity (VI) in tandem with a new brand strategy aimed at ushering in the next 50 years. The new VI is set to debut sequentially from March 17, 2026.
Founded in 1973 by Dr. Hideo Arakawa, the company emerged with the core philosophy of "creating what does not exist." Specializing in wire-based hardware, Arakawa Giken has successfully developed products that underpin architectural and exhibition spaces. In 1975, they pioneered the world's first adjustable wire fitting mechanism, dubbed the "ARAKAWA GRIP." This innovation served as a foundation for a range of systems, including display wire system, picture rails, architectural wire handrails, and lighting suspension hardware. Today, their products are utilized in over 30 countries across the globe.
Entering a new growth phase, Arakawa Giken plans to explore new applications within the domestic market while bolstering its global presence to expand its business infrastructure. The refreshed VI is a symbol of these ambitious initiatives, embodying the company's commitment to thinking outside the box and continually generating fresh insights.
