Burt joins the Community Banking team with an impressive track record, possessing over 40 years of extensive experience in the banking sector, where he has played integral roles in driving community and business growth.

Burt most recently served as a crucial member of a Commercial Real Estate team at one of the nation's major banking institutions. His wealth of knowledge regarding deal structuring, combined with his deep understanding of the middle market, equips him to make informed decisions that will greatly benefit the bank and its clientele.

In his new role, Burt will lead a dedicated team of business bankers focused on enhancing the banking experience for individuals and businesses in the region. He emphasizes the importance of collaboration, patience, and listening within his leadership style, valuing diverse perspectives that arise from teamwork. His vision for Vectra Bank is not only to enhance resources and energize the current team but also to actively engage with the local community.

Burt expressed enthusiasm about connecting with the residents of Colorado Springs and Pueblo, noting that he aims to communicate the positive attributes of the region as a great place to live and conduct business. His personal journey led him to Colorado in 2016, relocating from the Midwest where he discovered numerous outdoor activities, such as boating on Lake Pueblo and cycling. Additionally, he shares his household with three large dogs and delights in spending time with his family, including two grown children—one currently serving in the Navy and the other a retired Air Force member—and their recently welcomed grandchild.

Academically accomplished, Burt holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Wheaton College and is an alumnus of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, class of 2008. His professional affiliations include being a member of the Southern Colorado Commercial Brokers Association and the National Association for Industrial and Office Parks. Furthermore, he has contributed as a board member for various community, finance, and non-profit organizations.
