A Unique Sauna Experience

The sauna 'Taiyo Tsubomi' is designed to embody the theme of the Expo, 'Designing a Future Society Where Life Shines.' One of its most outstanding features is its exquisite petal-like air membrane that creates a beautiful and vibrant form resembling a blooming bud, directed towards the sun. Drawing from the sun's energy, the structure merges elements of nature, such as the sea, plants, and air, fostering a profound connection with our bodies and minds.

Over the course of the Expo, it's anticipated that around 15,000 visitors will have the chance to enjoy this sauna experience, all while in swimwear, within a space enveloped in ETFE film, allowing natural light to illuminate the interiors.

Eco-Focused Modern Design

Designed and constructed by Taiyo Group, this sauna represents a collaborative space that materializes the soft and warm ethos of a future society. This unique project has been guided by Daisuke Akiyama, who is known as the 'sauna master' and also serves as HARVIA's global sauna ambassador. His influence and expertise played a crucial role in choosing HARVIA as a partner for this event.

The Cilindro Pro 26 heater uses convection heating from heated stones to create a gentle warmth throughout the space. This aligns perfectly with HARVIA's vision of providing excellent sauna experiences for everyone who attends the Expo. As a result, the decision to sponsor this project was a natural choice for the brand.

The sauna features the Cilindro Pro 26 model, known for its simple and stylish cylindrical design, widely utilized across various facilities in Japan. It has a maximum capacity for sauna stones reaching 220 kg, positioning it among HARVIA's top products. This model allows the heater's unique properties to shine, especially during the 'Löyly' steam sessions, significantly elevating the sauna's temperature and enhancing the sweating experience.
