New Logistics Facility Begins Construction in Akashi City, Japan
The construction of a new logistics facility known as
LOGIWITH LogiSquare Akashi, spearheaded by
CRE Co., Ltd., has officially commenced. The groundbreaking took place in June 2026, with the project expected to be completed by August 2027. This innovative facility is a collaboration with
Central Japan Land and Building Co., Ltd., and aims to meet specific tenant requirements through a build-to-suit model.
Location and Accessibility
The facility is strategically situated in
Okubo, Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture. It boasts convenient access to major transportation routes, located right next to Route 2 and just 4 km from the Daikubo Interchange on the Second Shinmei Road, and about 6 km from the Akashi West Interchange. Being approximately 1 km from JR Kobe Line's Daikubo Station also enhances employee commuting, further ensuring efficient operation.
Facility Outline
Upon completion, LOGIWITH LogiSquare Akashi will feature a total of
ten single-story buildings on its premises, encompassing a main logistics warehouse and nine auxiliary buildings tailored for various storage needs. This provides a generous total area of
19,291.95 square meters (approximately 5,835.81 tsubo). The design integrates a master plan that supports versatile storage needs and smooth in-and-out operations for countless types of cargo.
Additionally, site planning has included
eight truck waiting areas, and a parking facility accommodating
200 employee vehicles to enhance convenience for staff commuting.
The warehouse specifications will include a floor load capacity of
1.5 tons per square meter, a minimum clear height of
5.5 meters, and an average lighting level of
200 lux. The strategic use of an open layout, owing to the single-story design, will facilitate an efficient internal structure and adaptable workflows.
Crucially, the building will be equipped for future climate control capabilities, such as HVAC installation routes, outdoor unit space, and room for expanding electrical services, all tailored to potential future tenant needs.
Environmental Considerations
From an environmental perspective, the facility will implement high-efficiency LED lighting across all environments and sensors to minimize unnecessary energy consumption. The project also aims to reduce water usage through the adoption of water-saving sanitary fixtures. Furthermore, the building structure is designed to accommodate a solar power generation system on the rooftop, enhancing sustainability efforts.
